AGENT STEEL Drop Off L.A.'s GATES OF METAL II FESTIVAL

May 19, 2004

AGENT STEEL have been forced to cancel their participation in the Gates of Metal II Festival in Whittier, CA on June 6. "We will be in The Netherlands for the Dynamo Open Air 2004 festival on Saturday, June 5 and cannot return to Los Angeles in time for the Gates of Metal II Festival," the group write in an official statement. "We'd like to apologize for the cancellation but there is no way we can be back in time. We are looking forward to the Dynamo pre-party show at Effenaar in Eindhoven on Friday, June 4 with SHADOWS FALL and AFTER ALL. Plans of filming the European shows for a future DVD release are still in the works and Raymond Tabak (THE GATHERING, OCCULT) will be doing our sound!"

In other news, AGENT STEEL have finished tracking "drums to two brand new songs, and today we'll track drums to the third song and start the guitar tracks before beginning vocals tomorrow. The drum tracks are very solid, and Bernie is engineering the new material." Audio clips of the new recordings will be posted at the band's official web site.
