AIRBOURNE: Glasgow Show Interrupted By Fire Alarm; Video Footage, Photos Available

February 12, 2008

Fire alarm interrupted AIRBOURNE's concert in Glasgow, February 10. The band had to stop the show during "Runnin' Wild" and the building was evacuated.

Fan filmed video footage of the incident can be viewed below. Watch the band stop the show and hear the alarm at the end of the eight-minute clip. A two-minute clip of another song, "Too Much, Too Young, Too Fast", is also available.

A bunch of good-quality photos from Glasgow gig have been posted on the Noizz Eater magazine web site.

AIRBOURNE will be IRON MAIDEN frontman Bruce Dickinson's guests on Friday, February 29 during Bruce's weekly BBC 6 Music radio show, aptly named "The Bruce Dickinson Friday Rock Show". Listen to the program live via the Internet between 10:00 p.m. and 1:00 a.m. U.K. time at BBC.co.uk.

AIRBOURNE sold 1,900 copies of its new album, "Runnin' Wild", in Canada in its first week of release to debut at position No. 25 on this week's chart. As previously reported, the CD landed at No. 106 on The Billboard 200 in the U.S. after shifting 7,000 units since its January 29 release.

According to a press release, the CD — which was released in Australia last June — "channels the endearing qualities of classic rock while breathing new life through modern production and arrangement." Boasting an all-star team, "Runnin' Wild" was produced by Bob Marlette (BLACK SABBATH, QUIET RIOT) and mixed by Andy Wallace (GUNS N' ROSES, NIRVANA, LINKIN PARK). With lead tracks such as "Runnin' Wild", "Stand Up For Rock n Roll", and "Too Much, Too Young, Too Fast", "Runnin' Wild" "will be the new soundtrack to all-night partying."
