The Saturday night (July 19) TSB Stadium concert was played to a sold-out audience by Joe Satriani, Glenn Hughes, Vernon Reid, Tim Donahue and the BRIAN HATCHER BAND.

Both Hughes and Reid performed with unique bands comprising Kiwi musicians. The former DEEP PURPLE bassist/vocalist played a set of exclusive PURPLE numbers, including "Stormbringer", "Burn" and "Gettin' Tighter", with guitarists Kara Gordon and Simon Koretz alongside Anders Olinder on keyboards and Nathan Koretz on drums. Vernon Reid's show, which kicked off with a version of JIMI HENDRIX's "Are You Experienced?" and included LIVING COLOUR's "Middle Man", featured Australian drummer Magesh Magesh and New Zealanders Jonathan Crayford on Hammond organ and Crete Haami on bass.
