ALEX SKOLNICK TRIO To Perform Using AmpKit App During 'Worldwide Developer Conference'

June 4, 2011

ALEX SKOLNICK TRIO, the experimental band led by TESTAMENT/ex-SAVATAGE guitarist Alex Skolnick, will play live at the San Francisco Marriott Marquis on June 8 from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. at the Bin 55 Lobby Lounge. The group will perform selections from its new album, "Veritas", and more during the week of the Worldwide Developer Conference (WWDC) in San Francisco. Bandleader and guitarist Alex Skolnick, a Bay Area native, will perform using AmpKit, an amps, effects and recording app for iPad, iPhone and iPod touch, and the AmpKit LiNK guitar interface.

Skolnick is one of the true guitar heroes. He has performed in some of the world's biggest venues with his seminal thrash metal band, TESTAMENT, and relocated to New York City to earn a jazz degree from the New School. He has recorded four albums with his acclaimed trio, including his most recent, "Veritas", out now on Palmetto Records.
