ALICE COOPER And Wife To Be Honored As 2005's First PHOENIX POWER COUPLE

November 10, 2004

ALICE COOPER and wife Sheryl (photo) will be honored as the first Phoenix Power Couple in a ceremony to be held on February 22, 2005. A posting at the PowerCouples.org web site describes the couple as follows:

"Sheryl Cooper has been dancing all her life, including professional appearances with Goldie Hawn, Steve Martin, George C. Scott and the late Jackie Gleason. She is an award-winning choreographer, having produced, directed and choreographed children's theater in Phoenix for 16 years. Her professional credits include The Pasadena Dance Theater and the Hubbard Street Dance Company in Chicago. In June 2003, Sheryl opened Destiny Dance International, a state-of-the-art dance studio, where she teaches classes and serves as Artistic Director.

"For 28 years Sheryl has been married to Vincent Damon Furnier, the man known to the world as Alice Cooper. Born in Detroit, he moved to Arizona as a ten-year old child, to help control his bronchial asthma. He attended public elementary and high school. At age 17, he joined a rock bank called ALICE COOPER, named after a woman who was persecuted as a witch in medieval Europe. The band received their first big break playing at Whiskey a Go Go in Los Angeles. The rest is history. Today, Alice Cooper, the man, his image, and his trend-setting musical style are world renowned.

"In addition to his musical abilities, Alice is a successful entrepreneur and businessman, representing national companies such as Staples, and recently has launched a radio show.

"The Coopers have three children and in their 'spare time' are active in The Solid Rock Foundation — a Christian non-profit organization dedicated to helping youth and teens. They are the proud owners of 'Cooperstown,' a downtown restaurant known for its rockin' ribs and great bar-b-que. Alice is frequently seen on local golf courses."
