ALICE COOPER Gearing Up For ROCK HALL Induction

According to The Pulse Of Radio, Alice Cooper is gearing up for his March 14 induction into the Rock And Roll Hall Of Fame. Alice will be inducted with the surviving members of the original ALICE COOPER band — Dennis Dunaway, Neal Smith and Michael Bruce — with '70s solo side guitarist Steve Hunter stepping in for fellow inductee, the late Glen Buxton, for the band's performance. The reunited band also laid down several tracks for Alice's upcoming "Welcome 2 My Nightmare" album being produced by the legendary Bob Ezrin — who was behind the boards for the original 1975 concept album.

Despite the fact that die-hard fans have been complaining for years that Alice Cooper remained shut out of the Rock Hall, Alice told The Pulse Of Radio that he was sure the band's day would come. "The Hall of Fame thing was expected and unexpected," he said. "It was one of those things where, like, we knew eventually, we would get in — and, y'know, we never really thought we'd get in on the first ballot. I mean this was the first time we've even been nominated."

Alice told The Pulse Of Radio that knowing that his heroes had to take time out and pick him to enter the Rock Hall continues to blow his mind. "The funny thing is — it's amazing what happens in your brain," he said. "As soon as we got in, I went, what is great about this is, well, first of all you're being voted on by the very guys that you learned from. Y'know, guys that are in the Hall Of Fame; y'know, THE KINKS, THE WHO, THE ROLLING STONES, THE BEATLES — they have to vote on you. And, I mean, you're sitting there going, 'Wow. Those guys voted for us.'"
