ALICE COOPER Interviews JEFF BECK On 'Nights With Alice Cooper'; Video Avaialble

April 20, 2010

Alice Cooper recently had a chance to interview Jeff Beck on the internationally syndicated "Nights With Alice Cooper" radio show. The conversation was lengthy and centered around the release of Beck's new "Emotion & Commotion" album and a whole lot more; Alice is a HUGE fan of THE YARDBIRDS, as you might expect. Alice told Jeff, "We were the biggest fans. THE YARDBIRDS, to us, were gospel!" He added, "Everybody started out liking THE BEATLES...then THE ROLLING STONES...and then you heard this band called THE YARDBIRDS and everybody went 'What? What was that??'"

A highlight: Alice asks Beck, who has famously collaborated with some of the greatest talents the music world has produced in his lifetime, "Who would you like to play with that you haven't?" Jeff had an immediate answer, as you'll hear.

Alice conducted the interview the night of Beck's Madison Square Garden show with Eric Clapton, about which Alice commented, "Yes, I was there, and it was as good as you'd expect!"

The first part of the interview will air Tuesday, April 20, while the second will be broadcast Thursday, April 29 but you can hear and see some of it right here, right now.

"Nights With Alice Cooper" producers will post video of the second part on April 29 and a third video will go up on May 6.

The entire 30-minute conversation between Alice and Jeff is being offered as iTunes bonus content for those who purchase "Emotion & Commotion".

Alice Cooper is the is the host of "Nights with Alice Cooper", produced and distributed by the United Stations Radio Networks. Alice anchors 30 hours per week of original classic rock programming. Alice's time slot reaches 1.1 million listeners (12+) each week, and his affiliates have a weekly reach of over 6 millions listeners.
