ALICE COOPER On World Tour With Blood, Gore, Goth And A Chihuahua?

August 19, 2005

ALICE COOPER, the master rocker in the theatre of the macabre and inspiration to such hard rock and metal artists as KISS, OZZY OSBOURNE, MARILYN MANSON, SLIPKNOT and others, hasn't lost his edge or his wit. As he kicked off his world tour in Australia last month in support of his new CD, "Dirty Diamonds", released in the U.S. August 2, the man who made summer vacation an anthem for students everywhere unveiled a new character in his show: a killer Chihuahua. And if that doesn't conjure up enough strange images, what's on the end of those little needle-like teeth may. Paris Hilton's precious Tinkerbell has finally reached the end of her Swarovski crystal-encrusted collar and leash. Sick of the endless parties, red carpets and preening for the media, the killer canine is teaching Ms. Hilton a lesson she'll not soon forget. During the show, Tinkerbell goes postal and sinks her choppers into Paris' throat. In true ALICE COOPER fashion, it's a bloody mess, as ALICE looks on with a knowing grin. Leave it to COOPER to rip the throat out of vapid celebrity culture. And who gets to portray Paris Hilton in ALICE COOPER's theatre of the bizarre? His 24-year-old daughter Calico, of course. Dark, gory fun runs in the family.
