ALICE COOPER's Web Site Crashes As 'Sideshows And Freak' Acts Submit Video Footage

August 7, 2010

AliceCooper.com crashed earlier this week as it has been doing intermittently since fans were invited to submit their personal videos of "sideshow and freak" acts to hopefully take part in Alice Cooper's Halloween Night of Fear shows at the Roundhouse in London, England later this year. The unprecedented response caused the web site to crash, and every time they get the it up and running again, the volume of traffic keeps causing it to crash again. Alice's IT team is working overtime to keep the web site live so that the freaks can submit their videos to get a timeslot for the auditions, which will take place at The London Dungeon on Monday, August 9.

On Monday, August 2, AliceCooper.com began accepting video submissions of "sideshow and freak acts." The best will be invited to a live audition on August 9 at The London Dungeon, 28-34 Tooley Street, London, SE1 2SZ at 7:30 p.m. where they will ‘perform' in front of a panel of judges in what will surely be the most bizarre talent show this country has ever seen! The panel will consist of Alice himself, along with Planet Rock's Nicky Horne and Time Out's Tim Arthur. The freakiest and most outrageous freaks will then become part of the show at Alice Cooper's Halloween Night of Fear at the Roundhouse London on October 31 and November 1.

Alice will perform his "Theatre of Death" concert in two very special and unique Halloween shows at The Roundhouse, and be joined by special guests THE JIM ROSE CIRCUS and ZODIAC MINDWARP & THE LOVE REACTION.

Tickets go on sale on Friday, August 13 at LiveNation.co.uk.

THE JIM ROSE CIRCUS is a modern-day freak show, founded by Jim Rose in the early 1990s and which found fame during Lollapalooza in 1993. His show features a mixture of the bizarre, the comic and the repulsive… and has since achieved worldwide cult status.

ZODIAC MINDWARP & THE LOVE REACTION is renewing its association with Alice Cooper, having toured with Alice in 1988, a year after they achieved a top 20 with "Prime Mover". Zodiac Mindwarp also co-wrote "Feed My Frankenstein" for Alice, as featured in the "Wayne's World" movie.
