ALICE COOPER To Premier Another New Song On This Week's Radio Show

April 27, 2005

According to a post at SickthingsUK, ALICE COOPER will premiere another track, "Steal That Car", from his upcoming album, "Dirty Diamonds", Friday night (April 29) on his radio show, "Nights with Alice Cooper". Last week, Cooper previewed the song "Woman of Mass Distraction", which was said to be — as Alice promised — a slice of AC/DC-like rock and roll. Cooper has previously said that there is a lot of diversity on the new album, with some songs not sounding like anything you would expect from Alice Cooper.

"Dirty Diamonds" is tentatively scheduled for release this summer through an as-yet-undisclosed label. The CD, which is said to be a continuation of the more organic approach found on Cooper's last effort, "The Eyes of Alice Cooper", was overseen by Steve Lindsey, who co-produced Cooper's 2004 duet with rapper XZIBIT, "Stand" (off the official Olympics Games album, "Unity") and has worked with Elton John, Luther Vandross and Leonard Cohen.
