ALICE COOPER, VELVET REVOLVER, QUEENS OF THE STONE AGE To Perform At MONTREUX JAZZ FESTIVAL

BBC News is reporting that ALICE COOPER, QUEENS OF THE STONE AGE and VELVET REVOLVER will be among the stars at this year's Montreux Jazz Festival in Switzerland in July.

In a line-up also heavy on pop, R&B, soul and blues, 79-year-old pianist Oscar Peterson is the biggest name from the jazz world.

"The jazz festival hasn't been a jazz festival for many, many years," a spokeswoman said. "It covers a very, very broad musical spectrum."

There will be a blues night featuring BB KING and SOLOMON BURKE, plus a tribute to the Stax soul label with ISAAC HAYES and BOOKER T & THE MGS.
