ALICE IN CHAINS' WILLIAM DUVALL Developed Organically Into Frontman Role

Framus & Warwick recently conducted an interview with ALICE IN CHAINS frontman William Duvall. You can now watch the chat in two parts below.

Speaking about his role in ALICE IN CHAINS, Duvall said: "I started as a guitar player, so there's always gonna be a little piece of me that feels very at home just doing that. There's always gonna be a piece of me that looks on with amusement and bewilderment that I ended up making my living as a singer. [Laughs] And, you know, that said, I'm fairly comfortable doing both now, and it's just kind of all developed organically into what it is. I can do both at the same time, I can just play guitar and feel okay, and now, after all these years, and all these different-size stages with ALICE, just free-handing the mic, I can do that and feel reasonably at home."

ALICE IN CHAINS recently returned to the studio to work on its sixth full-length album.

The new ALICE IN CHAINS effort will follow up 2013's "The Devil Put Dinosaurs Here", which featured the rock radio hits "Stone" and "Hollow".

"The Devil Put Dinosaurs Here" was the band's second disc with Duvall, who joined in 2006 following the death of Layne Staley.
