ALIEN Complete Work On Comeback Album

May 29, 2005

Reunited Swedish AOR/hard rock outfit ALIEN have posted the following message on their official web site:

"The last two songs of the new album were recorded during the weekend that just passed. Stefan Andersson (the guy who wrote 'Catch the Moon') came by the studio. He seemed to like what he heard.

"Come Monday we were in a different studio to mix the two new songs. Bumping into Marco Mendoza (SOUL SIRKUS, THIN LIZZY, WHITESNAKE, MICHAEL RUFF and many others) resulted in Marco visiting the studio to listen while we mixed.

"He heard one song and then shouted, 'The record company must be ecstatic!'

"Ah yes, there is a record company involved now. We'll announce who it is a little later. We also hope to be able to announce a few festival dates in the late summer/autumn and possibly some club gigs before that.

"But that is all up in the air right now. First we need to have the album mastered and printed and sent to the shops. We're working on the cover art as we speak."

ALIEN's 1988 self-titled debut peaked at no. 2 in the Swedish charts and produced a platinum-selling single, the BEE GEES cover, "Only One Woman". The album was released worldwide on Virgin International.
