ALL THAT REMAINS Frontman Checks In From OZZFEST
July 6, 2006ALL THAT REMAINS singer Phil Labonte checked in from this year's Ozzfest tour, where the band are performing on the second stage all summer long.
Said Labonte: "So yesterday was our first Ozzfest show. It seemed to me that Washington has more than a few ATR fans and they were out early and in force yesterday!!! What a great time! We have a few bugs to work out, but if the first show is any sign of what we can expect from Ozzfest crowds, it's gonna be an amazing summer!! With the release date for [the new ALL THAT REMAINS album] 'The Fall of Ideals' just over a week away, people are already hollering to hear 'This Calling', which is humbling in a way I can hardly describe. So ATR fans come on out to the shows. I know I'll be walking around and hanging out all summer! Just 'cause I need a tan and hanging with ATR fans is sweet. Come say hello!!!"
As previously reported, ALL THAT REMAINS has unveiled the debut video from "The Fall of Ideals". The clip for "This Calling" was directed by Frankie Nasso (MUDVAYNE, HATEBREED) of Raging Nations films and is available online at this location. Shot at the end of May in the now-abandoned Hancock Naval Base in Sandy Hook, New Jersey, the video's concept revolves around the "calling" itself being the voice of hope breaking free from a tainted and twisted state of mind.
With a July 11 street date, "The Fall of Ideals" is ALL THAT REMAINS' third album and the follow-up to 2004's critically-acclaimed "This Darkened Heart". Recorded with producer Adam Dutkiewicz (KILLSWITCH ENGAGE) and engineer Peter Wichers (ex-SOILWORK) at Zing Studios in Massachusetts in March, the new album features art by renowned artist Travis Smith (ICED EARTH, OPETH).
