ALL THAT REMAINS: Mexico City Crowd Was Loudest Crowd We Have Ever Played To
August 3, 2007Massachusetts' ALL THAT REMAINS have confirmed more dates for the band's forthcoming fall headlining tour. Currently on tour throughout Europe — including Thursday night's appearance at the prestigious Wacken Open Air festival, ALL THAT REMAINS will return Stateside for a handful of shows alongside SHADOWS FALL, PROTEST THE HERO and THE SHOWDOWN before departing for another headlining tour, this time with support from PROTEST THE HERO, labelmates THE ACACIA STRAIN, TOO PURE TO DIE, and — on some dates — THE END.
The band also recently completed its first tour of Mexico and offers this update:
"From when we got off the plane, we have been treated to the most friendly, helpful, excited people we have ever met. We are super happy to be able to come down here and play for our Mexican fans and we hope that we will make many new friends on the rest of the shows down here. Mexico City: It's HUGE! Something like 25 million people live there; it's like NYC on steroids. We played at Hard Rock Live at the Hard Rock Café and it was amazing. The crowd was the loudest crowd we have ever played to. HANDS DOWN — no question! Thank you guys so much for being amazing. I promise when we come back my Spanish will be mucho better. Europe, you guys are gonna have to come ready to go CRAZY or Mexico is gonna kick your butts!"
Continuing to support the band's latest effort, "The Fall of Ideals", ALL THAT REMAINS is also slated to release the band's first-ever DVD — featuring live footage from two shows, behind the scenes footage and interviews, photos, and all of the band's music videos — this fall through Prosthetic Records. Several updates on the mixing of the DVD audio are avaible on the band's MySpace page. Included will be the video to "Not Alone", which was recently shot in Southern California with director Soren (UNEARTH, LIGHT THIS CITY). A preview of the video is available below. Expect it to begin airing on video outlets and online in September.
