ALMAH's FALASCHI, ANDREOLI Are Still Members Of ANGRA

September 8, 2008

Germany's AFM Records has released the following statement regarding ALMAH, the Brazilian project featuring ANGRA members Edu Falaschi (vocals) and Felipe Andreoli (bass):

"In our last newsletter, we misleadingly reported that Edu Falaschi and Felipe Andreoli would not be members of ANGRA anymore because the band has disbanded. But actually ANGRA are just taking a break. The band does still exist and both Edu Falaschi and Felipe Andreoli are still members of ANGRA. Please excuse this mistake."

Edu Falaschi added: "I must clarify a big misunderstanding that is going on with the ALMAH promotion. Although I am fully concentrated on [the sophomore ALMAH album] 'Fragile Equality''s release and consequent promotion at this moment, I never said 'ANGRA has been terminated.' These are not my words whatsoever! ANGRA is not done; we're taking a break, a pause. The band is going through some difficult management issues, and all of us are doing our best to get back on the road. We don't know when it will be possible, but we hope to announce some good news soon. ALMAH is no longer a solo project, it's a full-time band, but it doesn't mean that me or Felipe have left ANGRA nor that the band is over."

ALMAH's sophomore album, "Fragile Equality", will be released on October 17 via AFM Records. A new single, "You'll Understand", has been made available for streaming on the band's MySpace page. According to Falaschi, "We chose this track because it contains most of the elements that characterize the album as a whole. I'm sure that I've recorded one of the most important records of my career and one of the best metal records a Brazilian band has ever made."

Video footage of ALMAH guitarist Marcelo Barbosa playing several solos and parts of the album can be viewed below.

ALMAH's recording lineup for "Fragile Equality" was as follows:

Edu Falaschi - Vocals
Felipe Andreoli - Bass
Marcelo Barbosa - Gutar
Paulo Schroeber - Guitar
Marcelo Moreira - Drums

ALMAH released its debut album in the U.S. in July 2007 via Candlelight. The CD featured guest appearances by drummer Casey Grillo (KAMELOT),guitarist Emppu Vuorinen (NIGHTWISH) and bassist Lauri Porra (STRATOVARIUS). It was mixed in Brazil by Grammy-winning producer Adriano Daga, who has worked with many artists during his career, including LENNY KRAVITZ and SILVERCHAIR.
