ALONG CAME A SPIDER Signs With STANDBY RECORDS

September 27, 2012

Standby Records has announced the signing of Cleveland modern metallers ALONG CAME A SPIDER. The band's new album, "If We Were Normal Men", will be released on October 30. The CD was recorded, engineered and mixed at Studio D Productions in Cleveland with producer Don DeBiase, who has previously worked with MODERN DAY ESCAPE.

Regarding the album title, ALONG CAME A SPIDER guitarist Justin Sobota states, "It signifies that if we were in fact normal men, the dream of becoming full-time musicians would not come true. Only strong willed people can strive for what they want and believe in. Normal men would have quit when things got hard, especially with how many members we lost and ones we had to remove. The title is just a question we ask ourselves every day with the band — 'What if we were normal men?' — and many answers derive from there."

"ALONG CAME A SPIDER get it," states Standby Records CEO Neil Sheehan. "This is a band that understands that the songs are only one piece of the puzzle, but that the work they will have to do will make the difference between their success and failure."
