ALTARIA Bassist To Appear On DAVID LEE ROTH Tribute Album, Release Solo CD

September 11, 2005

ALTARIA bassist Marko Pukkila has launched his web site last week at www.markopukkila.com.

Pukkila will be featured on two songs on the upcoming David Lee Roth tribute album being released in November through Versailles Records. "And The Cradle Will Rock" will include additional appearances by Vinny Appice (BLACK SABBATH, DIO) on drums, former DIO guitarist Rowan Robertson and vocalist Andy Engberg (LION'S SHARE, SECTION A). This song was mixed last week at Black Lounge Studios in Sweden by Jonas Kjellgren. The second track featuring Marko on bass is "Just Like Paradise", which also includes Troy Patrick Farrell (WHITE LION, DIZZY REED) on drums, Rowan Robertson on guitar, Ferdy Doernberg (ROUGH SILK, AXEL RUDI PELL) on keyboards and Derrick LeFevre (LILLIAN AXE) on vocals.

Also on the Pukkila-related front, the Finnish bassist is planning on recording his first solo album —a star-laden "metal opera" project that will feature some of today's leading musicians from the hard rock and metal scene. More details about this release will follow at a later stage.

And finally, ALTARIA — which remains being Pukkila's main project — will put the finishing touches on their third album, entitled "The Fallen Empire", at the end of next month. This CD is scheduled for a release in early 2005 through Germany's Metal Heaven, to be followed by a tour in March/April next year.
