ALTER BRIDGE To Release 'The Last Hero' Album In October

July 7, 2016

Orlando, Florida-based hard rockers ALTER BRIDGE have set "The Last Hero" as the title of their fifth album, due in October via Napalm Records in all territories excluding North America. The CD was produced by Michael "Elvis" Baskette, who helmed the band's previous three albums, "Blackbird" (2007),"AB III" (2010) and "Fortress" (2013).

A listening party for "The Last Hero" was held Wednesday night (July 6) at The Beacham in Orlando and included a live performance by ALTER BRIDGE.

In a 2015 interview, ALTER BRIDGE guitarist Mark Tremonti spoke to TeamRock Radio about what fans could expect from the band's next album. "It could go in any direction," he said. "I've got a ton of ideas in all different styles. Last time, it was just one heavy idea after another and hopefully this time we can branch out and bring something new to the table."

ALTER BRIDGE will return to Europe this fall. Their biggest headline shows yet, the 24-date tour treks 15 countries and kicks off on November 4. Special guests include Danish rockers VOLBEAT, who released their sixth album, "Seal The Deal & Let's Boogie", last month. French progressive metallers GOJIRA and up-and-comers LIKE A STORM..

ALTER BRIDGE's last album, "Fortress", featured the Active Rock Top 15 single "Addicted To Pain".

When ALTER BRIDGE is on hiatus, Kennedy can be found fronting Slash's band, SLASH FEATURING MYLES KENNEDY & THE CONSPIRATORS.

Tremonti released the third effort from his band TREMONTI, titled "Dust", on April 29.
