ALTER BRIDGE: Two New Songs Posted Online

July 26, 2007

ALTER BRIDGE has posted two songs from its second album, titled "Blackbird", on its MySpace page. Check out the tracks "Rise Today" and "Ties that Bind" at this location.

ALTER BRIDGE will release "Blackbird", on October 9 through Universal Republic Records. "Blackbird" will follow up the band's 2004 debut, "One Day Remains", which came out on Wind-Up Records.

The album's title track is an eight-minute song that singer Myles Kennedy said was inspired by a friend who passed away as the tune was completed. Kennedy explained, "It's a story about the struggle to move on to a better place. It was my wish for him to finally find his peace."

"Blackbird" track listing:

01. Ties That Bind
02. Come To Life
03. Brand New Start
04. Buried Alive
05. Coming Home
06. Before Tomorrow Comes
07. Rise Today
08. Blackbird
09. One By One
10. Watch Over You
11. Break Me Down
12. White Knuckles
13. Wayward One

Guitarist Mark Tremonti, bassist Brian Marshall and drummer Scott Phillips were all previously in CREED, while Kennedy sang for the MAYFIELD FOUR.

"One Day Remains" debuted at No. 5 on the Billboard album chart and was certified gold for sales of more than 500,000 copies.
