AMEN: UK Tour Update

October 17, 2007

California-based band AMEN has issued the following statement regarding their previously announced UK tour:

"After all the supposed past booked tours and theoretical disasters, AMEN's black cloud has pronounced yet another setback. As the band were ready to leave for the airport today they were informed that their work visas had not yet been cleared, thus making the unannounced show on [October] 18th in Dartford IMPOSSIBLE and ILLEGAL for them to do.

"With that being said, the band is rescheduling that date for sometime next week, making the first gig the Damnation Festival in Leeds on October 20th. AMEN will be co-headlining one of the two stages with KREATOR, and while they remain unsigned they have a new album ready for release in early 2008. See today's only living mentalist DJ $PEEDRANCH along with the INBREDS on all of AMEN's tour dates.

"There will be no barricades, no bourgeoisie pose, just 100% pure gutter punk noise... AMEN is there for your abusement. More dates to be announced once they land in the UK."

AMEN's last collection of new studio recordings, "Death Before Musick", was released in 2004 through EatUrMusic — a Columbia Records imprint owned by SYSTEM OF A DOWN guitarist Daron Malakian.

Malakian — who makes a cameo appearance in AMEN's "California's Bleeding" video — met AMEN singer Casey Chaos when both bands played at Australia's Big Day Out festival in 2002 and the guitarist made AMEN his first signing.
