AMON AMARTH Replaces CELTIC FROST At Slovenia's METALCAMP Festival

April 15, 2008

Swedish metallers AMON AMARTH have replaced the now apparently defunct Swiss metal band CELTIC FROST on the billing of the Metalcamp festival, set to take place July 3-9, 2008 in Tolmin, Slovenia.

Commented AMON AMARTH in a statement: "Despite the unfortunate circumstance, we're happy to return to Tolmin."

AMON AMARTH is scheduled to enter Fascination Street Studios in rebro, Sweden in May with producer Jens Bogren to begin recording its new album for a late 2008 release via Metal Blade Records.

Fan-filmed video footage of AMON AMARTH performing the song "Fate of Norns" live at the Medley in Montreal, Quebec, Canada on December 5, 2007 can be viewed below. The track was dedicated to the memory of DECAPITATED drummer Witold "Vitek" Kieltyka, who died on November 2 in a Russian hospital from injuries sustained in a road collision. He was 23 years old.
