AMORPHIS: More Finnish Dates Announced

Finnish metallers AMORPHIS have issued the following update:

"On Thursday, June 26, AMORPHIS will play an open-air concert in Helsinki’s Kaisaniemi Park together with NIGHTWISH and EPICA. Although the show will be a warm-up to the ensuing three-day Tuska festival, it is not part of the festival itself and Tuska tickets will not be valid for this event. The ticket sale starts on Monday, March 3. AMORPHIS will also perform at Sauna Open Air in Tampere, Finland, June 6-8. Tickets for this festival will go on sale on February 19."

AMORPHIS' latest album, "Silent Waters", entered the German Media Control chart at position No. 44. Released in North America on September 18, 2007, the CD is the second AMORPHIS album to feature singer Tomi Joutsen (SINISTHRA). It was recorded at Sonic Pump studios in Helsinki, Finland. Mixing duties were handled by Mikko Karmila (NIGHTWISH, STRATOVARIUS) at Finnvox studios.
