AMORPHIS: 'The Smoke' Video To Premiere On Finnish TV

January 7, 2007

AMORPHIS' brand new video for the song "The Smoke" will be shown for the first time on the Finnish TV program "Rautaryhmä" (Sub TV) on Monday, January 8 at 23:50. The group's bassist, Niclas Etelävuori, will also be a guest on the show.

AMORPHIS will enter Sonic Pump studios in Helsinki, Finland later this month to begin recording its new album for a late spring/early summer release. Mixing duties will be handled by Mikko Karmila (NIGHTWISH, STRATOVARIUS) in late February at Finnvox studios.

AMORPHIS has been confirmed for this year's installment of the Wacken Open Air festival, set to take place August 2-4 in Wacken, Germany.

AMORPHIS' latest album, "Eclipse", was issued in a limited vinyl edition in a deluxe gatefold sleeve by Black Lodge Records under worldwide license from Nuclear Blast Records. The follow-up to 2003's "Far from the Sun" was recorded at Sonic Pump studios with engineer Nino Laurenne (THUNDERSTONE). The production duties were handled by the band and Marco Hietala (NIGHTWISH) for vocals. The mixing was taken care of by Karmila (who previously worked with the group on their "Am Universum" CD) at Finnvox in Helsinki.
