ANATA Preparing To Record New Album

November 7, 2007

Swedish death metal masters ANATA have completed the songwriting process for their new album, which they hope to record shortly for a 2008 release via Earache Records.

ANATA's next live appearance will take place on December 15 at Cafe Parkaden in Borås, Sweden.

The band's most recent CD, "The Conductor's Departure" (2006),was recorded at Studio Mega with Valle Adzic (THE CROWN, IMPIOUS, LAKE OF TEARS, BESEECH). The CD features "10 brand new tracks continuing the path that have seen the band likened to MESHUGGAH, THE DILLINGER ESCAPE PLAN, GOJIRA and NECROPHAGIST," according to a press release. "Merging blindingly technical riffing with an ear for melody, ANATA have gained a reputation for blatantly sidestepping the IN FLAMES imitation of their homeland. Instead, the band have found themselves mentioned as the missing link between death metal and the technical 'math-core' hardcore scene."
