ANDREW W.K. To Release Three New Albums

June 25, 2006

According to a posting on ANDREW W.K.'s official web site, the singer will be releasing three new albums during 2006-2007: "Close Calls with Brick Walls", "Young Lord" and "The Carrier". Andrew, who has been recording "non-stop for the past three years," will be launching the new music in Asia this summer and the only concerts he has scheduled thus far are in South Korea and Japan — except for one; on August 3, 2006, Andrew will be performing at the Hard Rock Live in Orlando, Florida in what will mark his "first public concert in three years." Also appearing on the bill are FURIOUS, PAIN PRINCIPLE and HYDROSONIC.

ANDREW W.K. had previously told MTV.com that his forthcoming follow-up to 2003's "The Wolf" would include the following tracks, among others: "I'm a Vagabond", "I Want to See You Go Wild", "I'm Not Going to Bed", "Pushing Drugs", "You Will Remember Tonight" and "Kicks and Bricks".

ANDREW W.K. released a live DVD, "Who Knows?", in February. The film features live footage shot over four years on the road, as well as behind-the-scenes footage, an ANDREW W.K. fan tribute, outtakes of Andrew performing "I Get Wet" and additional footage of Andrew's antics.

ANDREW W.K. has yet to announce a new label home, having severed ties with Island Records in 2004.
