ANGELA GOSSOW: 'It Has Been A Great Year For ARCH ENEMY'

December 23, 2006

ARCH ENEMY frontwoman Angela Gossow has posted the following message on her MySpace page:

"Dear friends,

"The year 2006 is abruptly coming to an end. Where did all the months go???

"I had a blast and it has been a great year for ARCH ENEMY as well. We played exciting festivals, went on a dream-quest called 'Gigantour' and had a rocking European tour which led up to mid-December. I made great new friends along the way and obviously became a much, much better person ;-)

"Special thanx go out to our Danish, German, Belgian and French 'enemies' who respected our request not to smoke. This was my first tour in six years, where I didn't suffer from asthma attacks and didn't come down with a bronchitis either. It was wonderful and I will be eternally thankful for this!

"We are all back home now, sweating in the rehearsal room and alternatively in the gym. It's cookie time, but getting fat is not an option. Mean and lean is the motto for 2007.

"I found a couple of snippets of my fondest memory for this year: Me on stage with MEGADETH. HIGH FIVE!

"In case you get bored during the holidays, my gifted, crazy brother David has designed a politically incorrect, yet funny game. Check it out: World Domination Battle

For all you curious music fans out there, these are my fave releases of 2006:

BEYOND FEAR - Beyond Fear
SLAYER - Christ Illusion
SUFFOCATION - Suffocation
KRUX - II
VENOM - Metal Black
GRAVE - As Rapture Comes
WOLF - The Black Flame
STRAPPING YOUNG LAD - The New Black

"That's that, have relaxing 'sexy times' and a kick-ass new year! See you all in 2007!"
