ANGER AS ART Preparing To Enter Studio

July 17, 2009

Los Angeles thrashers ANGER AS ART are preparing to enter the studio to begin recording their third album, "Disfigure", for a late 2009 release via Old School Metal Records. The CD will once again be produced and mixed by Chris Trent.

Commented guitarist/vocalist Steve Gaines: "I have done many records (c'mon guys, my body of work dates back to vinyl... I still call them 'records'),and can honestly say that the excitement level is right there on a par with doing the first ANGER AS ART CD, or even doing ABATTOIR's 'Vicious Attack'. I am also very aware that it might be the last full-length recording I will ever do. Not that I am going away, or retiring... but that the change has come to the industry so dramatically over the past couple of years. It is the last record we are contracted to do for our label, OSM Records. Our relationship with the label is as strong as ever... and we may very well continue with them beyond the 'Disfigure' cycle. but ever being the realist, where will the industry be when we are ready to consider the next recording/release? Strange and exciting times."

ANGER AS ART's current lineup:

Steve Gaines - vocals, guitar
Angelo Espino - bass guitar
Rob Alaniz - drums
Daniel Oliverio - guitar, vocals

On the subject of ANGER AS ART's forthcoming CD, Gaines previously stated, "Remember, this album was written before the last tour was done. So it is definitely an ANGER AS ART record. I want to say that no one should think that the line between ABATTOIR and ANGER AS ART will ever be blurred. They are separate entities — no one ever confused either band thus far in our history. Even with these guys involved, it sounds like ANGER as opposed to ABATTOIR."

Songtitles set to appear on the album include:

* Crush
* Appease an Angry God
* It Feels Like Blood
* Master Becomes Slave
* Dissention
* I Am Your Enemy
* Anger Is A Gift
* Seed of Hate
* Disfigure
* They All Fall Down

ANGER AS ART's last album, "Callous and Furor", was released on October 31, 2006 via Old School Metal Records.
