ANGRA Celebrates Power Of The Stage In New 'Lisbon' Music Video

Long-running Brazilian metallers ANGRA present a new audiovisual chapter in their history with the release of the music video for "Lisbon", one of the most iconic songs in the band's career. The new production is built around a live audio recording captured during ANGRA's performance at Porão Do Rock in Brasília, combined with footage from several of ANGRA's recent appearances on Brazilian stages.

Directed and produced by Maycon Avelino, the video, which can be seen below, features footage recorded at Porão Do Rock, Bangers Open Air, Espaço Unimed in São Paulo, and Santa Bárbara Rock Fest. The production weaves these different performances into a single narrative, placing ANGRA's live energy and the relationship the band has built with its audience over the years at the heart of the video.

ANGRA's current lineup features Alírio Netto on vocals, Rafael Bittencourt and Marcelo Barbosa on guitars, Felipe Andreoli on bass and Bruno Valverde on drums. The lineup represents a new chapter in the band's history, preserving the identity built over more than three decades while opening the door to a new era on stage and in future projects.

In "Lisbon", the stage and the audience share the spotlight. The video captures the intensity of the performances, the looks, gestures, sing-alongs and reactions of fans across different cities and events, creating something that goes far beyond simply documenting a concert. The decision to use the audio recorded at Porão Do Rock further reinforces this visceral quality. Without losing the melodic power that made the song a classic, this version highlights the presence of the audience and the atmosphere of a live performance, bringing viewers closer to the experience of standing in front of the band.

By bringing footage from different concerts together in a single piece, Maycon Avelino has also created a video that serves as a recent snapshot of life on the road. Each scene carries the atmosphere of a different city, audience and night, but they all converge on the same feeling: that of a band whose music remains alive through its connection with its fans.

Composed by late ANGRA singer André Matos, "Lisbon" holds a special place in the band's repertoire and remains one of ANGRA's most recognized and celebrated songs. In this new audiovisual version, the track is surrounded by the human dimension of the live experience, transforming memories from different performances into one unified experience.

The release comes at an equally significant moment for ANGRA. The band is currently on the road with a tour celebrating the 30th anniversary of "Holy Land", the album released in 1996 and widely regarded as one of the defining works in its discography. Three decades later, the LP's repertoire returns to the stage in a celebration that brings together memory, Brazilian identity and the strength of a record that helped establish ANGRA's name internationally.

One of the most important moments of this new chapter takes place on September 12 in Athens, when ANGRA will be one of the headliners of Rock Hard Festival Greece 2026. Making the performance even more historic, the band will be joined by special guest Kiko Loureiro as it brings the "Holy Land" celebration to the Greek audience, a country where ANGRA has built an especially strong relationship throughout its career.

The festival takes place at Technopolis City of Athens and features ANGRA among the leading acts of its 2026 edition.

The tour schedule spans Brazil, Europe and Asia and also includes another special reunion with Kiko Loureiro at the legendary L'Olympia in Paris, as well as two nights in São Paulo featuring guest appearances by Luis Mariutti and singer Eduardo "Edu" Falaschi. In Japan, ANGRA will conclude its currently announced run with a special performance at Full Metal Japan alongside Loureiro and Falaschi.

ANGRA staged a reunion of the band's "Rebirth" lineup at the 2026 edition of the Bangers Open Air festival in April at Memorial da América Latina in São Paulo. In addition to a performance by ANGRA's most recent lineup — featuring longtime vocalist Fabio Lione, who had fronted ANGRA for 13 years — fans witnessed the long-awaited reunion of the lineup that recorded the "Rebirth" (2001) and "Temple Of Shadows" (2004) LPs, featuring the return of Loureiro, Falaschi and drummer Aquiles Priester. ANGRA also introduced its latest addition, Netto (ex-SHAMAN, QUEEN EXTRAVAGANZA),who officially replaced Lione last November.
