ANIMA: In Writing Mode
June 18, 2009German deathcore maniacs ANIMA are currently writing material for their second album, tentatively due in early 2010 via Metal Blade Records.
Commented the band: "We are working on new songs since February 2009. And one thing is for sure: it will be essentially more sophisticated and intense as hell! We are confident that it won't be comparable to 'The Daily Grind' and we hope that you will agree to this after you have heard the new shit!
"We are going to enter the Rape Of Harmonies studios [in Triptis, Germany] once again at the beginning of September to record the drums. To make sure we will deliver a quality product, we contacted Basti from Slaughters Palace studios to record the guitars, bass and vocals and to mix and master the entire album!"
ANIMA released its debut album, "The Daily Grind", in August 2008 via Metal Blade Records.
ANIMA formed in the summer of 2005 under the name of METMACHINES before renaming itself TODAY HEAVEN'S DYING and eventually settling on the ANIMA moniker. The band completed its debut CD, "Souls of the Decedents", in the summer of 2006 at 138 Studios in Ellrich. This was followed by the recording sessions for "The Daily Grind" mini-CD in the fall of 2007 at Slaughter's Palace and Rape of Harmonies studios, but this effort was never released.
ANIMA is:
Robert Horn - Vocals
Justin Schüler - Bass
Steven Holl - Guitar
André Steinmann - Guitar
Benjamin Kühnemund - Drums
