ANKLA Announces New Vocalist

March 22, 2008

ANKLA, the Los Angeles-based band led by former PUYA guitarist Ramn Ortz, has issued the following update:

"2008 has brought ANKLA an exciting new world of limitless possibilities. The writing and pre-production of the new album is taking place as we speak. This record will be a monster! The culmination of a lifelong musical quest!

"This year has also brought some lineup changes which were destined to fullfill the universal plan for ANKLA. The first one we are ready to announce is our new singer Eddie Macias.

"Eddie is a former musical partner of Ramn; he was the original vocalist in an embryonic form of PUYA that played in Puerto Rico in the early Nineties and also bands like ONGO, SITH, and SONS OF YOU.

"The musical chemistry between Eddie and Ramon is undeniable as the upcoming album will prove

"We'll keep you all posted as events keep unfolding."

ANKLA's debut album, "Steep Trails", was released in July 2006 through Bieler Bros. Records.
