Another GUNS N' ROSES Semi-Reunion: STRADLIN Jams With VELVET REVOLVER In Paris

September 8, 2004

Another GUNS N' ROSES semi-reunion of sorts took place Tuesday (Sept. 7) in Paris, France, when guitarist Izzy Stradlin joined his old bandmates in VELVET REVOLVER onstage for the GN'R classics "I Used To Love Her" and "It's So Easy". During those two GN'R songs, Slash reportedly donned his trademark top hat. According to Olivier Rouhet of Rock Hard France, "Izzy spent the afternoon hanging out with the VELVET guys in the Hotel Raphael, close to the Champs Elysées and while a lot of jounalists were there, they did not recognize him with his new Bruce Springsteen-like look!" Stradlin left GUNS N' ROSES in 1991 and was replaced by Gilby Clarke.
