ANTHRAX Bassist To Host 'Rock & Roll Ball' In Levittown

July 24, 2008

ANTHRAX bassist Frank Bello will host the "Rock & Roll Ball" tomorrow night (Friday, July 25) at the Munchaba Lounge, located at 58 Gardiners Avenue in Levittown, New York. Scheduled performers for the event include BORGO PASS, CONSTRICTED and MISERY.

Bello was unable to join his bandmates for their June 22, 2008 appearance at the Heavy MTL festival at Parc Jean-Drapeau in Montreal, Quebec "due to a family obligation," but will return to perform with ANTHRAX at the 10th annual Dongducheon Rock Festival — set to take place August 14-17 in Dongducheon, Korea — and at Club Citta in Kawasaki, Japan on August 15.

Despite persistent rumors that Bello has once again left, or been fired from, ANTHRAX and has been replaced by his stand-in at the Heavy MTL gig, Joey Vera (ARMORED SAINT, FATES WARNING),Frank is "very much" part of the band and was "never" out, the band's manager, Izvor Zivkovic of Split Media, told BLABBERMOUTH.NET.

Vera temporarily replaced Bello in ANTHRAX from April 2004 to March 2005 before Frankie returned to the group as part of the reunion of ANTHRAX's classic lineup, also featuring singer Joey Belladonna and guitarist Dan Spitz.
