ANTHRAX: Documentary DVD Due In Late 2005, No OZZFEST Appearances Planned

April 1, 2005

ANTHRAX have shot down rumors that they will be appearing at this year's Ozzfest, stating that they will be holding off their U.S. touring plans until the fall. According to guitarist Scott Ian, the band will kick off their trek with two "warm-up" shows in Chicago, to be followed by two more warm-up dates in Dublin and Glasgow and a number of festival appearances in Europe. A short Australian tour will take place in May.

In addition to the touring activities, the band are in the process of filming a documentary DVD covering the band's "reunion" tour, from the moment the bandmembers met again in one room for the first time in over 13 years to the upcoming festival appearances. A live CD is also planned. A late 2005/early 2006 release is expected.

When asked about the status of vocalist John Bush and guitarist Rob Caggiano — who were part of the band's most recent lineup — Ian said, "Rob and John are still part of the ANTHRAX family. We'll see what the future holds, I don't know..."
