ANTHRAX Teams WITH DARK MATTER COFFEE For Limited-Edition 'Cursum Perficio' Brew

September 4, 2026

Ahead of the September 18 release of ANTHRAX's long-awaited twelfth full-length studio album "Cursum Perficio", the band has have announced a collaboration with Dark Matter Coffee for a special limited-edition Dark Matter Coffee x Anthrax "Cursum Perficio" brew.

The base of the "Cursum Perficio" coffee is "a washed process Catuai from Nicaragua that has been roasted with a little more heat to caramelize the sugars and bring out more toastiness, maintaining a sweet, nutty cup," the company notes. "We paired the Catuai with coffee from the Pacas Family in El Salvador, a blend of Bourbon and Pacas beans that come from several farms in the Santa Ana region, which go through a washed process at the Cafe Tuxpal mill. This coffee has a lot of chocolatey notes in the cup, with a hint of citrus that comes through as it cools!"

Dark Matter Coffee x Anthrax "Cursum Perficio" is available in the following configurations:

* Bagged (Whole Bean, Drip Coffee Grind, Espresso Grind, Press Pot Grind, Pour Over Grind): 12oz

* Coffee Cold 8-Pack

"With 'Cursum Perficio', we have a blend of Central American washed coffees from Nicaragua and El Salvador that produce a piping hot mug of chocolatey and nutty notes balanced by a sweet citrus finish," says ANTHRAX drummer Charlie Benante. "This blend sits nicely next to my 'Schism' and the 'Devil You Know' blends from Dark Matter."

"Cursum Perficio" will arrive via Megaforce in the U.S. and Nuclear Blast in Europe. It marks ANTHRAX's first record in ten years since 2016's "For All Kings", which debuted in the Top 10 of the Billboard 200. The phrase "Cursum Perficio" is Latin for "My journey has come to an end," "My journey is over," or "I complete my journey."

The band dove into recording "Cursum Perficio" in earnest during 2022, working out of Dave Grohl's Studio 606 in Los Angeles. They carefully pieced together what would be this magnum opus, mining their history with reverence, delivering on fan expectations tenfold, and broadening the scope of their signature sound. Produced by Jay Ruston and ANTHRAX, the result is an album that's as angry, aggressive, and alive as their most celebrated fare.
