January 7, 2013

Danish melodic progressive power metal band ANUBIS GATE has parted ways with drummer Morten Sørensen and has replaced him with Morten Gade Sørensen (PYRAMAZE, WUTHERING HEIGHTS).

After careful consideration and five albums behind the drums, Morten Sørensen felt it was time to get off the bandwagon to pursue other musical interests. ANUBIS GATE states: "We would like to say that this is a peaceful parting of the ways and that we are still good friends. We are, of course, sad to see Morten Sørensen go but also excited to have another one of Denmark's very finest drummers to join the band."

Morten Gade Sørensen (pictured below),known for his excellent drumming in bands such as PYRAMAZE, WUTHERING HEIGHTS and LANCE KING, comments on joining ANUBIS GATE: "I've been following ANUBIS GATE since they started and being a big fan of their universe it's an honor for me to be asked to join. I'm looking forward to working on the bands new material."

ANUBIS GATE is currently working on material for its sixth album for a late 2013 release via Nightmare Records.

ANUBIS GATE is Henrik Fevre (vocals, bass),Michael Bodin (guitar),Kim Olesen (guitar, synths),Morten Gade Sørensen (drums).
