ANUBIS GATE Singer Falls Ill; Bassist To Take Over Lead Vocals

September 26, 2005

Danish melodic progressive power metal band ANUBIS GATE announced during last night's performance at Nordjyske Musik Konservatorium in Aalborg, Denmark that their vocalist, Torben Askholm, was taken ill with serious throat problems and that he will be unable to sing for quite some time. As a result, bassist and harmony singer Henrik Fevre will take over all vocals (while still handling the bass) for the band's appearances at the ProgPower Europe festival (October 1 in Baarlo, The Netherlands) and the Aalborg Metal Festival (November 5 in Aalborg, Denmark).

ANUBIS GATE released their second album, "A Perfect Forever", on September 19 via Locomotive Music. The follow-up to 2004's "Purification" was produced by Jacob Hansen (RAUNCHY, INVOCATOR) and features cover artwork by Mattias Norén.
