ANVIL CHORUS To Perform At 2006 HAIGHT ST. FAIR

May 31, 2006

Legendary Bay Area metal band ANVIL CHORUS will be playing at the 2006 Haight St. Fair on Sunday, June 11 in San Francisco, California. The group's current lineup consists of the following:

Thaen Rasmussen - Guitar
Aaron Zimpel - Bass, Lead Vocals
Joe Bennett - Drums
Phil Bennett - Keyboards
Carlos Hernandez – Guitar

ANVIL CHORUS are currently recording the album that never happened in the mid-'80s. Gere Fennelly has bowed out on keyboards, but drummer Joe Bennett's brother Phil has stepped in and is said to be "a great keyboardist." Doug Piercy (ex-HEATHEN) was previously said to be still in the fold for the album and future shows, although his exact involvement at the moment remains unclear. Filling in for Piercy is Carlos Hernandez of BLACK SUN.
