ANVIL CHORUS To Play San Francisco Reunion Show, Release Long-Awaited Album

April 11, 2006

Legendary Bay Area metal band ANVIL CHORUS will be playing a one-off gig at the Rampage Radio 24th anniversary show on April 21, 2006 at Annie's Social Club in San Francisco. The group's lineup will consist of the following:

Thaen Rasmussen - Guitar
Aaron Zimpel - Bass, Lead Vocals
Joe Bennett - Drums
Phil Bennett - Keyboards
Carlos Hernandez – Guitar

In other news, ANVIL CHORUS are currently recording the album that never happened in the mid-'80s. Gere Fennelly has bowed out on keyboards, but drummer Joe Bennett's brother Phil has stepped in and is said to be "a great keyboardist." Doug Piercy (ex-HEATHEN) is still in the fold for the album and future shows, but is unable to attend the Rampage show. Filling in for Piercy is Carlos Hernandez of BLACK SUN.
