ANVIL, EXCITER Members To Guest On Tonight's 'The Classic Metal Show'

August 2, 2008

Guitarist/vocalist Steve "Lips" Kudlow of the Canadian metal legends ANVIL and guitarist John Ricci of the Canadian thrash metal pioneers EXCITER will be the featured guests on tonight's (Saturday, August 2) edition of "The Classic Metal Show".

"The Classic Metal Show" can be heard every Saturday night between 9:00 p.m. EST and 3:00 a.m. EST at www.cmsradio.net.

ANVIL's movie "Anvil! The Story of Anvil" screened as the Centerpiece of the Los Angeles Film Festival on June 26, 2008 at the Ford Amphitheater in a program that included live musical performances and "special guests," including ANTHRAX guitarist Scott Ian. Check out photos from the event from Wire Image.

"Anvil! The Story of Anvil" is a mockumentary-like true account of fiftysomething Canadian heavy-metal practitioners Steve "Lips" Kudlow and Robb Reiner who, after a desultory European tour with their band ANVIL, decide to record a 13th album in a final attempt to fulfill their boyhead dreams of stardom.

EXCITER's new album, "Thrash Speed Burn", was released on February 22 via Massacre Records. The CD marks EXCITER's recorded debut with new singer Kenny "MetalMouth" Winter, who joined the band in October 2006.

EXCITER's current lineup is:

John Ricci (Guitar)
Rik Charron (Drums)
Clammy (Bass)
Kenny Winter (Vocals)
