APIARY Taking Time Off From Touring To Write New Material

June 18, 2007

APIARY, the San Francisco Bay Area band formed out of the ashes of local favorites CLEARING AUTUMN SKIES and SOMETHING MUST DIE, has issued the following update:

"After just about nine months of constant touring, APIARY has decided to take the rest of June and July off from touring and start work on our new record. Those of you saw us on our last tour heard two new songs entitled 'The Man in Black Fled Across The Desert' and a song we wrote literally on the road entitled 'Borrowed Teeth, Borrowed Claws'. We are still planning on playing local and regional shows in California if you are intrested in booking, but we want some time to make this new record happen. We haven't decided where we are going to record the new record, or even what we are going to call it, but I will say that the new songs are very different than 'Lost In Focus'. We went through some lineup changes since then and its only natarul for bands to evolve. The songs are coming out very fast like our Bay Area thrash metal/punk roots. Grimey and slimey for sure. While we are home we plan on partying a lot too so if you have a keggar, birthday, party, anything that you want APIARY to play at, let us know. We are always down to play in your backyard, basement, living room, practice spot."

APIARY's debut album, "Lost in Focus", was released in May 2006 via Ironclad Recordings (the label formed by UNEARTH frontman Trevor Phipps). The disc was recorded at Castle Ultimate Studios in Emeryville, CA with Zack Orhen.
