APOSTASY: Two New Songs Posted Online

July 16, 2007

Swedish black metal act APOSTASY has posted two new songs on its MySpace page. Check out demo versions of the tracks "The Parasite Swarm" and "Gods Assassin" at this location.

Commented the band: "[The new songs] are a lot more aggressive and heavier than anything we have evere done. We have added some new elements in our music and it turned out really fucking great. We are also looking for a new label to work with. We have left Black Mark Records permanent now and [are] negotiating with some major labels."

APOSTASY made national headlines in Sweden last year when the group's guitarist Henrik Johansson was stabbed to death by his girlfriend. At 3:55 a.m. on March 9, 2006, the 19-year-old girlfriend dialed 112 (the Swedish equivalent of 911 in the U.S. or 999 in the U.K.) and said that her boyfriend was lying bleeding on the floor in the couple's apartment in Kramfors, Sweden. When the paramedics and police arrived, Henrik Johansson was already dead.
