ARCH ENEMY Frontwoman Interviewed On FearShop.com Metal Podcast (Audio)

October 2, 2010

On October 1, FearShop Mike of the FearShop.com Metal Podcast conducted an interview with vocalist Angela Gossow of Swedish/German extreme metallers ARCH ENEMY. The chat is now available for streaming using the audio player below.

In a recent interview with Tomb Of The Opinionated, Gossow stated about the progress of the songwriting sessions for the next ARCH ENEMY album, "We have nine songs by now and still got a ton of riffs, ideas and melodies lying around. We will lock ourselves away from the 1st December on and the album is scheduled to be released in May 2011. Lots of hard work, but we are more than ready for it and just wanna kill!"

ARCH ENEMY's "The Root Of All Evil" album featured re-recorded versions of songs from the band's first three LPs — "Black Earth" (1996),"Stigmata" (1998) and "Burning Bridges" (1999). Acclaimed British producer Andy Sneap (MEGADETH, TESTAMENT, EXODUS) mixed and mastered the CD, which was recorded at a few different locations in Sweden and produced by ARCH ENEMY with Daniel Erlandsson and Rickard Bengtsson handling the engineering. The Japanese edition of "The Root Of All Evil" featured five bonus tracks, including cover versions of "Wings Of Tomorrow" (EUROPE) and "Walk In The Shadows" (QUEENSRŸCHE).
