ARCH ENEMY Guitarist: New Album Sounds 'Huge'

May 14, 2005

ARCH ENEMY guitarist Michael Amott has posted the following message on the band's official web site:

"I am writing this studio update in Derbyshire, U.K …breathing in the fresh country air and looking at cows and sheep in the fields! Yes, we have moved to Andy Sneap in England for the mixing of the 'Doomsday Machine' album.

"It's an amazing, almost euphoric feeling to have finally completed the recording phase of the new ARCH ENEMY album… We were starting to get serious cabin fever at Slaughterhouse studio (Halmstad, Sweden)…! We have all put a lot of hard work into creating something really special… A big thank you goes out to Rickard Bengtsson, who has produced this record and gotten some great results out of all of us!

"Andy Sneap has given the material his (metal) stamp of approval and it’s killer to see (and hear) him work on the songs — it sounds fucking great!!!! The guitar sound is HUGE and it's really got a great 'cut' to it! The drum sound is also a big step up for us — super heavy!

"I am very confident that ARCH ENEMY fans will enjoy this album when it is released this summer!

"The 'Doomsday Machine' is coming!!!!!"
