ARCH ENEMY: 'Revolution Begins' Single To Include QUEENSRŸCHE Cover

August 20, 2007

Having just successfully performed their first shows with returned guitarist Christopher Amott last weekend in the United Kingdom at a special Kerrang! Barfly club show in London and the Bloodstock Open Air festival, Swedish/German metal maestros ARCH ENEMY are proud to unveil details of the first single release off their upcoming new album "Rise of the Tyrant". The special single is "Revolution Begins" and the track listing is as follows:

01. Revolution Begins (4:11)
02. Blood on your Hands (4:40)
03. Walk in the Shadows (3:07) [QUEENSRŸCHE cover version] *
04. I Am Legend / Out For Blood (5:36] [Live 2007] *

* Non-Album Tracks

As well as the title track, you get another brand new song, the albums lead track "Blood on Your Hands", which was recently launched on the band's MySpace page as an exclusive preview track. This special-priced single, packaged in dramatic artwork courtesy of Niklas Sundin, includes two very special non-album bonus songs: A cover version of QUEENSRŸCHE's classic "Walk in the Shadows" and "I Am Legend / Out For Blood – Live", recorded earlier in 2007 when the band toured in South America.

Commented ARCH ENEMY guitarist Michael Amott: "We've always had a lot of respect for QUEENSRŸCHE; they've written so many amazing songs. 'Walk in the Shadows' is off their 'Rage for Order' album, which is mine and Sharlee's (D'Angelo, bass) favorite QUEENSRŸCHE album. We did the song 'our way' and it sounds quite different to the original, we just hope the QUEENSRŸCHE guys are cool with it if they ever hear it!"

"Revolution Begins" will be released August 31 in Germany, Austria and Switzerland, September 3 in Greece and September 5 in Sweden and Finland.

ARCH ENEMY have recently completed an extensive promotional visit to Japan in support of the soon-to-be-released new album "Rise of the Tyrant" and will be spending the next few days doing European promotional work, as well as headlining Germany's Up From The Ground festival on August 24. As of early September the band embark on lengthy co-headline tour of North America with MACHINE HEAD under the banner of "The Black Tyranny Tour". The next touring activity in Europe will begin in November when they join "The Black Crusade Tour" with MACHINE HEAD, TRIVIUM, DRAGONFORCE and SHADOWS FALL.
