'Milton Keynes was unbelievable and we got to see a lot of old friends. Brian Tatler from DIAMOND HEAD was there to talk to me about our thingy, and I found out that not only [AC/DC guitarist] Malcolm Young's daughter, but [AC/DC vocalist] Brian Johnson's wife are both MEGADETH fans! What a rush. One of the greatest rhythm guitarist in the world's daughter came up to me and said she digs us. And Brian's wife Brenda asked me to sign her MEGADETH shirt that she bought. She had a Megirldeth camo babydoll shirt.
'The Gods of Metal Festival in Italy was just as much fun. I saw Mikkey Dee from MOTORHEAD, Chris and John from SAVATAGE, and Ripper from JUDAS PRIEST as well as my good pal Glenn Tipton. A completely sold-out metal festival and a complete success.
'Hockenheim, Germany was a little more difficult because of the weather but waaaayyy more people. I met the guys in DIE TOTEN HOSEN and we left after they were done playing.'

Norway's ARK, who feature in their ranks former YNGWIE MALMSTEEN vocalist Jorn Lande, ex-CONCEPTION guitarist Tore Østby, and former MALMSTEEN drummer John Macaluso, were originally due to release their latest effort, Burn The Sun, in the USA through Sensory/Laser's Edge Records later this month, but the band now appear to be on their way to inking a deal with none other than Steve Vai's Favored Nations label. Owner of Sensory Records, Ken Golden, recently issued the following statement on the matter:
'Some news regarding [ARK]'s brilliant second album Burn The Sun: We had previously announced the North American release for Sensory. Shortly afterwards the band was approached by Steve Vai's Favored Nations label who was interested in releasing the album.
'Although contractually bound to Sensory, the band expressed their desire to sign with Favored Nations. We have nothing but a friendly, positive relationship with the band and we agreed that Favored Nations would be able to provide ARK with the tour support they badly wanted. A deal is being worked out that will free up the band to sign with Favored Nations.
'This is a deal that works out well for all three parties (more of which will be revealed soon). We wish our friends in ARK nothing but the best and hope that you will all buy Burn The Sun when it is finally released here.'
