DARWIN'S WAITING ROOM have completed work on their MCA Records debut, Orphan, which was produced by ex-SAIGON KICK guitarist/vocalist Jason Bieler (NONPOINT, SUNNY LEDFURD, SW1TCHED) and mixed by Bob Clearmountain. Tentatively scheduled for a June 19th release, Orphan will include the following tracks:

PUYA's sophomore effort for the MCA label, tentatively titled Union, was recently produced by GGGarth Richardson (KITTIE, SPINESHANK),and it is set to be released on May 15th.


The Europe-only digi-pak version of SEPULTURA's Nation CD will include the following five additional tracks not found on the regular CD:

01. 'Bela Lugosi's Dead' - A cover of a track originally done by BAUHAUS (one of the originators of goth rock).

02. 'Rise Above' - A cover of a track originally done by BLACK FLAG

03. 'Revolt' (demo) - A demo recording made early in the Nation songwriting process. It should be noted, however, that this is actually an early demo version of the Nation song 'Saga' and it has nothing in common (other than the title, obviously) with the track 'Revolt' that also appears on the album.

04. 'Roots Bloody Roots' - Recorded live during this past summer's Tattoo The Earth Festival.

05. 'Annihilation' - A cover version of a song originally done by the classic hardcore act CRUCIFIX, also featuring an appearance by ILL NINO vocalist Cristian Machado.

Cristian recently stated the following about the experience: 'I've always been a huge fan of SEPULTURA. They were the grounds and influences for much of the music I listen to today, so I was very excited to be part of that project.' The track 'Annihilation' is about the struggle with arms and weaponry manufacturing and how it effects the nature of humanity. Cristian adds, 'Growing up in South America, political conflicts and threats of violence is something I've always felt strongly about.'


TheSTART, featuring former HUMAN WASTE PROJECT frontwoman Aimee Echo, are due to release their The Label / Geffen Records debut Shakedown! on June 5th. Produced by Josh Abraham (COAL CHAMBER, ORGY, CRAZY TOWN),the album will contain the following cuts:

TheSTART have also reportedly tracked 'Be Mine', 'The Sin Original' (featuring a guest appearance by Jay Gordon of ORGY) and 'Make It Through' during the album's recording sessions, although it is unknown if they have now been re-titled or put aside as possible future b-sides. As previously reported, the group will be shooting a video shortly for the album's first single 'Gorgeous' with director Gregory Dark (DISTURBED, BRITNEY SPEARS) and will be shipping dance and club remixes of the track to radio at the end of the month. The band are also scheduled to play several west coast shows during March/April and have been confirmed for an east coast leg of the Warped Tour beginning August 1st.
