According to Jayne Andrews, Management Co-ordinator for JUDAS PRIEST, the reason Sad Wings Of Destiny and Rocka Rolla are not included in upcoming The Remasters series through the Sony / Columbia label is because the rights to the aforementioned releases are owned by Gull Records and the band 'get nothing from them'. JUDAS PRIEST are also reportedly working with Sony on getting them to re-release all the group's old videos, but no details have been finalized as yet.

In related news, JUDAS PRIEST recently addressed the upcoming release of the Rock Star movie, a film that is loosely based on JP vocalist Tim 'Ripper' Owens' rise from a PRIEST cover band to being the frontman of his all-time favorite group. According to Andrews, 'we know that (actor) George Clooney's company bought the rights to an interview we did with The New York Times when Ripper first joined the band, so they had the basis for the story—local boy does good—but since then, we have been in communication with Warner Bros. on numerous occasions, and THEY absolutely deny any connection with JUDAS PRIEST. We, of course, know that there are a lot of similarities, but we also know that the story they are portraying has nothing to do with JUDAS PRIEST or the band's life story. They have taken a lot of their ideas from many bands—not just us—even though the original idea is about a guy who gets into his favorite band. We have our misgivings about this film, but we have, as I have explained before, letters from Warner Bros where they categorically insist the movie has nothing at all to do with JUDAS PRIEST, so there is not a lot we can do about it at this stage.'
