In a recent issue of the UK's Kerrang! magazine, SLAYER talked about the lyrical direction of the group's forthcoming God Hates Us All CD, which is due for release on July 3rd through American / Columbia Records. According to guitarist Kerry King, '[the new song entitled] 'Threshold' is just about the breaking point, when you're ready to leap off the deep end and meet your threshold. 'Seven Faces' is about the seven deadly sins. 'Scar Struck' I made up pretty much based on the Strangeland movie. It's about living the pierced, tattooed lifestyle. 'Addict' is abut being addicted to the fear of a victim when you are the stalker.'

CRAZY TOWN frontman Shifty Shellshock has responded to LIMP BIZKIT guitarist Wes Borland's less-than-complimentary remarks about his band with the following statement published in the UK's Kerrang! magazine:

...

'He's just intimidated by the fact that we write better lyrics than his singer. Our music is more groundbreaking. And even though I think Wes Borland is an incredible guitar player, I don't see why he would be taking cheap shots at a band who's just starting to get recognition. So it does hurt our feelings to hear Wes is saying anything bad about us. If you asked me what I like about LIMP BIZKIT, I'd say Wes Borland. So our replay to what Wes said is — we're big fans. And thanks for the compliment. I'm glad we were important enough to make him wanna lose one of his eyes.' (responding to Wes' statement that CRAZY TOWN and LINKIN PARK made him want to stab his eyeball out with a screwdriver).
