ARCTICFLAME Sign With BATTLE CRY RECORDS, Announce Live Appearances

January 19, 2006

New Jersey power metallers ARCTICFLAME have lined up the following dates:

Apr. 04 – Sayreville, NJ @ The Starland Ballroom (w/ LOUDNESS)
May 01 – New York, NY @ B.B. King's Blues Club (w/ GAMMA RAY, INTO ETERNITY)

In other news, ARCTICFLAME have decided to sign with Germany's Battle Cry Records after briefly negotiating with Mausoleum Records. According to the band, the deal with Mausoleum fell through because of "dishonesty on Mausoleum's part. We were warned by other bands who dealt with them but we had to find out for ourselves. We did and they were right. Our decision to go with Battle Cry comes from one thing — honesty. Andi Preisig, the President, tells it like it is, straightforward, and we like that. We look forward to working with him."

ARCTICFLAME's debut CD was recorded in July 2004 at Gear Studios in Shrewsberry, NJ with producer/guitarist Jack Frost (SEVEN WITCHES, SAVATAGE). The tracks were finalized in December of 2004 and the band has since self-released a five track EP from those sessions.

Also on the ARCTICFLAME front, drummer Mike Paradine will be releasing his first book, titled "King of Toys". Told in poetic form, it tells the story of a young boy who is abused by his scum parents. His toys, along with a resurrected family pet, then come to life and take revenge on them. Release is targeted for March and will be published by PublishAmerica. The band are also talking to drummer Mike Sabatini of ATTACKER about producing their next album. The band are looking towards May to begin recording their second effort.
